Snes Roms Fact: The Super Nintendo was first released in Japan in 1990 under the name Super Famicom. It immediately took over 80% of the game console market. In 1991 it was released in the US. The cost was $200 and it was redesigned with a curved surface instead of the Japanese version which had a flat surface.

If you are looking for a game check here because chances are they will have it! There are also many foreign games avaliable that have been translated into English.

FreeRoms.com SNES ROM Downloads - Click on the SNES link on the side of the page for access to hundreds of alphabetized Snes rom downloads. A rating system is in place for the roms, on a scale of 1 to 10 and you are able to rate any rom on the site.

Gamefaq's Super Nintendo FAQ and Cheat Site - This HUGE site offers an alphebetical listing of SNES games, as well as a listing by genre and by popularity. Each game has a secton devoted to FAQ's about the game, codes, reviews, and message boards. The extensive FAQ's are often divided into character, walkthrough faq's, and more.

SNES Cheat Database - Each game listed in this excellent alphabetical database has a section with user submitted cheats, tips, and codes. All major games are covered and all the cheats I have tried have worked. Users are able to submit cheats to this site for review and possible publication.

Gamewinners Archive of SNES Cheats and Codes - This site offers an alphabetized list of SNES games with a great cheat and code secton for each game. You can also have access to a forum for each game if you need extra help. Sign up for this site's newsletter to receive site updates. Most of the codes and cheats here are user-submitted.
