Africat - This is a great site on African cats like leopards and lions. There is a lot of information, an adoption program

Naomi's Animal Facts - Detailed information about several African species including hippos, zebras and giraffes. You can learn habitat,

Australia Zoo - Australia Zoo is the home of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Australia Zoo also works as a rehabilitation
center. They have some information and photos of some of the native wildlife they have on exhibit or have rehabilitated. |
Wildlife of Tasmania - The Tasmanian Islands have some of the most unique wildlife in the world including the Tasmanian devil, wombat,
playtpus, eastern quoll and pademelon. You can find all about them and the island itself through the parks service. |
Australian Wildlife Information - This site has some interesting news articles about Australian wildlife and some species profiles. The science
reports are most interesting and can clue you in on things like endangered species and interesting animal studies being done

National Wildlife Federation - Facts on preserving North American wildlife and some information about the wildlife. The "Take Action" section
has interesting ideas for furthering conservation. |
Animals of the Rainforests - Fact sheets on animals from rainforests from all around the world, especially South American rainforests. Reptiles,
mammals, amphibians, insects and fish are included. |
Amazon Adventure - Geared towards kids, this site offers great photos and information for any age. Information is on Amazon mammals,

lots of information about their underwater inhabitants on their site. |

The National Zoo - The National Zoo has an excellen site with many webcams. You can check out some of their exhibts from your own

Good Zoos - Read reviews of zoos or add a review. It doesn't seem to have a huge database of zoos but it does have information

| American Humane Society - The AHS mission is to prevent cruelty, abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children and animals. This site has
information about pet adoption, care, animal cruelty laws and animal "action" alerts. |
Animal Legal Defense Fund - This organization furthers animal rights by through the laws. Founded by lawyers, they provide legal assistance,
lobbying, education and maintain a database of anti-cruelty statutes. |
Animal Protection Institute - You can read all the latest animal cruelty headlines on this site. You can also read about API's work to make
better lives for animals. |
In Defense of Animals - In Defense of Animals (IDA) is a national, non-profit organization based in Mill Valley, California that is dedicated
to ending the exploitation and abuse of animals by defending their rights, welfare and habitats. |
PETA - PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is a controversial animal rights group. However controversial,
they do have some good tips on becoming vegan, interesting articles and a unique viewpoint. |
