SpyBot - A free Adware removal tool with clear instructions and an FAQ, tends to nag a bit for a donation but the software is free.

Ad-aware - Review - A short and easy to read review of Ad-aware version 6 by PCWorld, Ad-aware is commercial Adware removal tool with many highly useful features. A free version is also available. A neat review there is a helpful at a glance section at the end of the review.
