Airline Tickets Fact: Airline Tickets:No one ever pays attention
to the fine print when reading about "cheap, inexpensive, a bargain" when reading about purchasing airline tickets. Airlines
have a price tier to follow. Only so many tickets are offered at each tier. Most of us get the middle tier, not always a bargin.
Did You Mean "Airline Tickets" as in...
- Smart savy to get you where you want to be
- How to go about getting the best prices on Airline Tickets
- Some general websites to gain access to more info
"Smart savy to get you where you want to be"
| As long as you get there - Make an offer....no offer is refused, doesn't mean that you'll get what you asked for, but at a substantially
lower price than what you might have paid. Just don't have an itinery and lots of patience, but you can name your own price.
Always put in a price at least 30% under what's being offered. |
Another name your price website - If you can be flexible, Hotwire can get you where your going on the day you want to leave. You just don't have
specifics until you've acutally purchased your ticket. You may have one more stop than planned, but hey, if you can get there
reasonably, then what is there to lose? |
Another way - Another website devoted to airline tickets for purchase. Again, you have to put in your billing info, but they
have rock bottom prices. I find that if I have all the websites open, I can toogle back and forth to see who really has the
best deal at that moment. Internet travel shopping is easy. |
"How to go about getting the best prices on Airline Tickets"
| Home airport log in - There are tons of websites available to purchase airline tickets. So far, I've found the folks at Expedia to
be the most helpful and friendly. And forgiving if you've purchased a ticket in error. You can put your home airport in your
log in and receive specials of last minute flights. |
Going my way? - As with all Internet travel websites, Orbitz is another one I use quite frequently. After all your travel info
is entered, they will tell you how many airline companies have flights to where you want to go. Search until you find the
combination that suits your needs and price. |
And not least - Search, search, search. Don't ever give up as people change their minds, and the ticket yesterday that wasn't
available, may be available now and at the price you want to pay. I use every means to find the right ticket at the right
price. I have my airport set in every travel website to get updates. |
"Some general websites to gain access to more info"
| If your just starting out - Ask Jeeves is a great website to start looking for just general information for internet travel websites. It
will pull up enough websites to keep you pretty busy, but don't get so busy looking that you forget about your travel plans,
which is why you went there in the first place. |
A 2nd opinion - After reading all the articles that have been published, Google staffers say that they are the number one website
for information. So I went to their website, and went to the travel section to see what would pull up, and yes, they also
give you tons of websites to look at for airline tickets. |
Last but not least - Whatever your Internet connection or e-mail address, look to see what is being offered at their travel site.
Don't reject it because it may not be as big as the other websites, give every piece of information the opportunity to be
of service for the needs that you have. Don't pass anything by |
