Windows Fact:  In 1990, Microsoft Windows 3.1 ships to market but is surpassed by the introduction of Windows 95 which sells more than one million copies in only four days.

Did You Mean "Windows" as in...
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Windows Support
  • Windows for residential and commercial use

Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Microsoft Windows Home Page - This, is the "official" Microsoft home page for the Windows operating system. It's full of useful technical support articles, downloads, updates, clip art, patches and product information for most Windows versions (they no longer list information for Windows 3.1 or DOS).

Information on Windows for and by users - Love the name for this site! I am a big advocate of people helping other people with computer problems, especially through message boards and chats. Just use caution when using the information gained from any of these type sources. Always, back up your system!

How operating systems work - How stuff works is the name of this awesome site! If you want to know the difference in computer operating systems, such as Windows, Unix, and MacIntosh, or anything else for that matter, this is the place to find out! This site isn't just for kids!

Microsoft Technical Support Articles - Honestly, old Bill was really quite generous when he implemented the technical articles about not only Windows, but everything ever having to do with Windows or any Microsoft Product at all for that matter! They are easy to search and easy to understand, even for novices.

Techrepublic Tech Support - You have to sign up for this one, but it is well worth it. You can even earn points helping others with Q&A's posted to the message boards. But the articles are really informative and "tell it like it is".

Booting Windows - This is one of the most valuable sites on the Internet, because if you lose that emergency bootdisk, no problem you can download one here. But the advice and "how-to's" written in laypersons terms is definately the bomb!

AOL Technical Chat - Guess which one I am? This group of really nice people are very computer literate and volunteer their time in the AOL technical chat room helping others which computer (Windows) problems. If you have access to AOL as an ISP, then stop in sometime and check it out.

Windows for residential and commercial use.

Door and Window Associations - This link may look similar to another one listed here, but it isn't. This web page lists a whole page full of Door and Window Associations, so you can pick whatever type of group/product you are searching information about. For example The Steel Window Association.

Windows and Doors Manufacturers Association - Windows, skylights and doors is what is mainly dealt with here. You can research manufacturers products, and you can research the components that go into Windows. National Windows Safety Week link is a socially responsible link to have on this page. Bravo.

Do it yourself Windows  - If I have a project, like replacing the nonefficient windows, I head to Home Depot! Since I am a "do it yourselfer", Home Depot has a beautiful selection of in stock windows, custom windows or make them yourself! Need help with installation....no problem!

Home tips- replacing a window pane. - Step by step instructions on replacing broken window panes, glazing and type of glass to use for wood or metal framed windows.
